The ULB joined an inter-university team (UCL, ULB, ULiège, UNamur, and UMons).
The founding partners of the CyberWal consortium are universities active in cyber security, accredited research centers active in cyber security, ICT competence centers, and representatives of national and regional authorities as well as local operators.
The research component of CyberWal is the catalyst of the triptych : research, innovation and training. CyberWal aims to attract the best researchers in the field of cyber security in Wallonia. To this end, CyberWal will conduct cutting-edge research identified as strategic and aims to achieve international influence through collaboration and participation in actions carried out in conjunction with the European Commission (pilot projects, ECSO association, etc.).
It brings together PhD students, post-doctoral researchers and engineers working on various funding programs within research institutions. The research carried out within CyberWal-Research concerns both purely technological aspects and other fundamental issues for the appropriation of cyber security by the economic and social fabric (change management, RGPD, security by design, NIS directive, Open data…), in coherence with the national approach.
